TYPES OF COOKIE

Functionality cookies

Some cookies meet mere technical needs that contribute to website accessibility by enabling basic functions such as page navigation and access to restricted areas of the Site. The website may not work properly without these cookies. Sometimes cookies that allow a website to remember information that affects the way in which the site behaves or is presented, such as the preferred language or the region in which the user is located, or cookies that provide an understanding of how visitors interact with the site by collecting and transmitting information in aggregate form and not susceptible to direct user identification (analytics), are also used.
These types of cookies are also known as "functionality" cookies. The law states that "functional" cookies can be placed on the user's device following disclosure, which is provided with this document.

Profiling cookies

All other cookies, together with third-party statistical cookies, are deemed "profiling" cookies. Cookies used to monitor and analyse online user activity in order to make improvements and provide our services in a more efficient and personalised manner, fall into this category. The aim is to display pertinent and engaging ads to individual users. Use of these cookies requires the prior consent of users: on first access, users are deemed to have given consent to the installation of profiling cookies, if they continue browsing after the cookies notice has been displayed in the appropriate banner. Users may subsequently revoke consent by checking the appropriate boxes in the descriptive modules in this document.
Cookies can be broken down into the following categories according to the feature taken into consideration: the subject in question, the retention period, the intended use.
- Cookies propri: Questi sono inviati al terminale del computer dell'utente da un computer o dominio gestito dal gestore del Sito, e dal quale viene fornito il servizio richiesto dall'utente.
- First-party cookies: These are sent to the user's computer terminal from a computer or domain managed by the Site webmaster, and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
- Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user's terminal by a machine or a domain that is not managed by the Site
webmaster, but by another party that processes the data obtained through the cookies. Other distinctions:
- Session cookies: These cookies are designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a webpage. They are often used to store information relating exclusively to the service requested by the user at any time and are automatically deleted at the end of the session (e.g. a purchased products list).
- Persistent cookies: Data is stored in these cookies in the user's terminal and can be accessed. The cookies can be used for a fixed period of time established by the Site, which may range from a few minutes to much longer periods of time (as specified in the reference tables provided in this document).
Breakdown by intended purpose:
- Strictly necessary cookies: allow users to navigate the Site and use all the features. Without these cookies some services or features cannot be provided and Site navigation on the site would not be easy and functional.
- Functionality Cookies: allow the choices made by the user on the Site and/or the services that the user expressly requests to be remembered, in order to provide the user with more advanced and more personalised services, such as personalisation of a certain page or remembering if and what has been proposed to the user previously.
- Analysis Cookies:: collect information on a User's use of the Site (such as details of the most frequently visited pages, verification of recurring patterns of Site use, etc.) and allow Site functionality to be improved, while providing an understanding of any difficulties encountered when using the Site.
- Targeting and advertising cookies: for publishing adverts deemed of interest to the User, while for example restricting the number of times an adverts published on the Site (as the cookie remembers what the user has seen on the Site) and helping to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. This information may be shared with other parties such as advertisers.
